What it Means

This morning as I look out my window the world is still a gray haze. Rain will begin to appear outside my window and on my surroundings in later hours. Today I must find my joy from within. It is the little things such as someone loving one of my pieces of artwork enough to buy it. It is the feeling that someone was so moved as to want to take something from my heart into their home and display for all to see. If I made a dollar profit on every painting that would be enough because someone chose my artwork rather than walk right by it without even looking. Sometimes what we perceive to be the be all end all is not what it seems. Fame is fleeting but great art promises longevity. Once I create a piece of art I am connected to it forever. My passion and drive is for someone else to find a connection to my art. Today I will strive to make that happen.

Today is the Day

Today is the day to make it happen.....whatever that may be. Outside my window the world is gray and rainy but I won't let that alter my mood. I have a lot to get done today. I have a lot of dreams to fullfil. I have a lot of ideas to put to canvas. I am a painter and I have a lot to show the world through my art. I have not always shown the world my creative side but I have recently put myself and work out there for public scrutiny. As the sun peeks out from behind a cloud I will begin my day.
